KEOLIS CANADA IS DEVELOPING A TRIAL PROJECT INVOLVING ELECTRIC AUTONOMOUS SHUTTLES IN QUÉBEC WITH NAVYA, THE QUÉBEC GOVERNMENT, PROPULSION QUÉBEC, THE CLUSTER FOR ELECTRIC AND SMART TRANSPORTATION AND THE TECHNOPÔLE IVÉO

With the support of the manufacturer NAVYA, financial support from the Québec Government, the collaboration of Propulsion Québec, the Cluster for Electric and Smart Transportation and the Technopôle IVÉO, Keolis Canada has launched a 12-month pilot project with an electric autonomous shuttle. This demonstration project is the first deployed in Québec and Canada on open road on October 2018. It would make it possible to operate a NAVYA electric autonomous shuttle with 15 spaces on public roads for one year. Steps are underway with the relevant government authorities to obtain the necessary authorizations.

The NAVYA electric autonomous shuttle

Keolis Group, a key player in public passenger transportation worldwide, and NAVYA, a french company specializing in the development of innovative mobility solutions, are working together to meet tomorrow's urban mobility challenges and needs. With the electric autonomous shuttle, Keolis and NAVYA offer a solution that allows communities to adapt their transportation offerings to bring them closer to the needs of citizens, while controlling impacts on infrastructure and reducing congestion to decrease pollution. With a capacity of 15 passengers, on public and private sites, it also facilitates visitor, customer and employee access to improve access and travel time. Ideal for urban areas, airports, industrial sites, amusement parks, hotel complexes and hospitals, it was designed to optimize business performance by making travel more fluid.
