In 2010, Keolis began operating the Virginia Railway Express (VRE), a commuter rail line serving the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, DC. Since Keolis took over the VRE, ridership has increased, customer service scores have risen sharply and on-time performance has increased to well above 90%.
