Kootenay, British Columbia
In 2024, we were contracted to maintain and operate a fleet of 19 buses for the West Kootenany region. This transit system supports passengers traveling between the communities of Trail, Rossland, Castlegar, Montrose, Fruitvale, and others. All of this adds up to nearly 26,000 annual revenue hours, supported by a small but dedicated team of drivers, mechanics, managers, and one dispatcher, office administrator, and vehicle cleaner.
On March 1, 2025, we assumed the contract to operate all transit services in the East Kootenay region on behalf of BC Transit. This comprehensive service includes fixed-route bus transit, handyDART specialized transportation, Health Connections, and Paratransit services. The East Kootenay transit system covers multiple communities including the Columbia Valley (Canal Flats, Invermere, Radium), Cranbrook, Creston, Elk Valley (Fernie, Sparwood, Elkford), Kimberley, and surrounding areas.
