GREG J. NICHOLS APPOINTED AS KEOLIS CANADA PRESIDENT AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER FOR CANADA

BOSTON – December 11, 2024 – Today, Keolis North America (Keolis) announced the closing of its acquisition of Pacific Western Transportation’s (PWT) transit and motorcoach business lines from Student Transportation of America, Inc. Keolis has also announced that Greg J. Nichols has been appointed Keolis’ president and chief operating officer (COO) for all Canadian business lines.
The completion of this acquisition follows the receipt of the requisite regulatory approvals from the Competition Bureau of Canada.
Greg has more than 20 years' experience in passenger transit and inter-city motorcoach operations, safety and security, fleet maintenance, facility management, customer service, and transportation technology. He previously served as PWT’s president of transit and motorcoach. In his new role as Canadian president and COO, he will continue to prioritize being available and accessible to employees and clients so they can deliver safe and exceptional service for customers.
Present since 2002, Keolis has grown to be one of the country’s largest operators of transportation services in Canada. As of the deal’s closing, Keolis has more than 800 buses, coaches and tram vehicles in operation in Canada. Keolis provides urban transport and motorcoach services to more than 60 communities in the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario and Québec. Keolis also provides shuttle services to Montréal-Trudeau International Airport and Concordia University students. In Waterloo, Keolis operates Grand River Transit’s ION Light Rail network.
